This
is one of the nicest mobile homes in any mobile home park, and BY
FAR the nicest lot you will ever find in a mobile home park. Lot
rent is $270 per month. Lot rent includes water, sewer, lawn
mowing, and garbage dumpsters. It is a VERY nice place to live!
Our lot has mature pine trees, cedar trees, a huge and beautiful
magnolia tree, numerous cactus of various types, a grapefruit
tree, an orange tree, some plants and flowers, and numerous palm trees
of different varieties. I know of no one else who has such a nice
mobile home lot in a mobile home park! It is large, shaded, and
has really good, sweet, and juicy fruit.
The home is a two bedroom/1 bath, 1979 Satilla mobile home, 12x56, with
a large, add-on screened porch and large carport. There is a
PERFECT roof-over on the mobile home, which makes it
exceptionally quiet and reduces utility bills. It was resealed in
March, 2010. This mobile home is exceptionally cool in the
summer and a/c does not have to run all the time. Except in the
heat of the summer, we usually kept the front door and windows open and
let the Gulf breeze
fresh air blow
through the house. This is a
RARE chance to own a VERY nice mobile home in a VERY nice park, on the
NICEST lot you have ever seen. This home has never been smoked in!
We have maintained this home exceptionally well since purchased in
2004. The list is LONG as to what we have done to this mobile
home to make it better. Because of work, we are moving about 30
miles away. The home is ready for occupancy.
We recently renovated the home with new, 3/4 inch plywood floors and
vinyl linoleum. It is very easy to clean and looks good!
The only original floor in the house is the front bedroom. There,
it is still in exceptionally good condition. No one has ever
lived in the front bedroom since the mobile home was new!
The home has a front and rear bedroom. The front bedroom has a
large, walk-in closet, a built-in desk, ceiling fan with lights, and
plenty of windows. The rear bedroom has HUGE custom made, walk-in
closest with built-in drawers. They are a
true "MUST SEE" to
appreciate! There
is a ceiling fan in the
middle of the ceiling with lights. There are currently no beds in
either bedroom.
We did keep the window air conditioning unit in one bedroom
window. Because we like it very cool when we sleep, this allowed
us to keep the bedroom cooler than the rest of the house. It
works perfectly!
Last year, we installed a new HUGE shower in the bathroom, a new
toilet, plus a built-in utility sink. There is a lot of storage
built into the bathroom, as well. It is exceptionally unique and
nice, plus VERY useful. Again, you simply have to see it to
appreciate it.
Also, we had every water line in the mobile home replaced with new PVC
and CPVC plumbing. This includes hot and cold water lines, from
the
outside hook-up to the water heater, to the bathroom, to the kitchen,
and to the outside water faucets. Each faucet in the home, along
with the shower head (very nice hand-held unit), were new in February.
There are hook-ups for a washer and electric dryer, We had the
utility room floor reinforced to handle our large, front load washer
and dryer. There are cabinets built in over the washer and dryer
area, allowing for plenty of storage space.
In the kitchen, there are brand new HICKORY cabinets built-in, new
countertops, and a new double sink with a nice, tall faucet set
up. The refrigerator is good. The cookstove works
great. There is a built-in, brand new microwave oven, as
well. The cabinets have cathedral doors with anti-slam
mechanisms. The drawers have the same anti-slam mechanisms.
It is NICE!!! My wife ordered this new kitchen just a couple of
weeks before we learned we were moving. We spent over $4000 on
the cabinets and counters, alone. They are premium units!
There is also a brand new, built-in dishwasher and a new garbage
disposal. This is a PREMIUM kitchen, something rarely found
in any mobile home!
The living room, dining room, and kitchen are an open floor plan,
giving you the feeling of living in a much larger home. There is
a new ceiling fan with lights in the dining area, plus a brand new,
matching ceiling fan and lights in the living room. There is new,
vinyl flooring throughout. There is a small dinette set that has
sides that fold down, plus two dining chairs. In the living room,
there is a hide-a-bed couch, a hanging light, and a large corner
shelving unit.
The central air conditioning works great. It is a heat pump unit,
which is very efficient, and it also provides heat on the cold winter
days. Our light bills, living there full time in the hottest
months of summer, ran $150. In the winter, light bills ran under
$70 each month. We kept the house cooler than most people,
too! The water heater is a 30 gallon electric unit that works
great. We kept ceiling fans running 24/7, used plenty of hot
water for an older couple, kept the house cooler than most people do,
and still had very reasonable utility bills. Electricity is
provided by Progress Energy.
The screened-in porch is HUGE. The concrete floor was recently
painted and the screens are good on all three sides. There is a
front and rear door to the porch.
The rear door of the screened-in porch leads to a metal storage
shed. The concrete slab of the front porch extends behind the
porch so there is a walkway between the shed and the porch that is
concrete. In some photos, you might see a large, wooden shed
behind the mobile home. This shed does not go with the sale.
The carport is on the west side of the home. It has a white
gravel base and can cover most any size car, pickup, or van. I
think you could put three smart cars underneath it :-)
Many homes in this mobile home park are owned by seasonal residents,
but there is a large group of friendly people (and families)
living there full time. There is a community center where pot
luck dinners are held quite often and holiday gatherings are
held. There is a nice horse shoe pit, as well... and they play
every night! The streets are paved. There are community
mailboxes and garbage dumpsters at each end of the park. The lawn
maintenance is good and the place looks presentable all the time.
In the back, there are some campsites where family and friends can come
down from up north and hook up their motorhome or travel trailer for a
day, week, month, or year. It is a very quiet place to live!
ONE THING THAT IS MOST IMPRESSIVE ABOUT THIS MOBILE HOME PARK IS THAT
THE WATER IS FREE OF IRON, DOES NOT SMELL, TASTES EXCEPTIONALLY WELL,
AND DOES NOT STAIN THE SINKS, SHOWER, OR TOILET. This water is
better than anything else I have drank in the state of Florida.
To me, this makes living in this mobile home park worth more than ANY
other park I have ever seen! We will miss this water!
There is a satellite dish set up in the back yard, plus a good regular
antenna, but we had cable television for the past few years. High
speed internet, internet phone, and cable television are available
through Brighthouse.
This is good living at a very affordable price. For the price we
are asking, we are barely covering the work we have done to this home
just this year! It has always been a good home. That's why
we upgraded everything. Now that we have to move, you can benefit
from this wonderful kitchen, beautiful lot, and affordable
living. If you can find anything nicer, my guess is it is brand
new!
